His Perfect Will – Poem

In the sunken deep pit, the lions roared

“I am definitely the next meal”, scared he thought

Prayed he did to the one who knows best

And true the lions He shut , His perfect will revealed

In prison, the criminals, cramped up in their guilt

Run he did from the crime, he was a wheat among the tares

Clasping to truth of the one who knows best

And true the prison doors he opened, His perfect will revealed

In their old age, to dare to dream was vain

How can we sire a child from old bones?

Their only hope a promise from the one who knows best

And true a formidable lineage He gave them, His perfect will revealed

In your darkened days when sorrows are infinite

Reach out to the flickering light

Unburden your heart to the one who knows best

And true His perfect will be revealed
